Setting activity 2: Setting as Backdrop

Here is a short example of a short scene:

• The shoppers coursed through the streets like rats in a maze.
• Kate craned her neck and spied a tiny patch of sky amidst the towering skyscrapers.  
• A brand new 2012 Porsche sped by and Kate whirled on her heels just in time to see it disappear around the corner of Lexington.

Here is my example:

• The shoppers craned their neck and observed a gathering below.
• A newly opened shop made people rushed like water through the falls.
