Today in musical theater we practiced our role and the script with out looking at it, and we succeeded.
We practiced using our props and costumes. My role there is being a buzzard, I was swinging the stick with a paper buzzard on top of it, it was in a bamboo stick. We practice are actions in our songs, our songs were circle of life, hakuna matata and i just can't wait to be king.

Lion King (ideas and learning)
20th November 2017
In musical theater I have learnt to warm up before doing something, we do this in order for us not to have sore muscles and help reduce the possibilities of voice crack.
How this work shows my learning?

Musical Theater (Lion King)
Today in musical theater, we did some warm ups for singing and dancing.
We also played games to test our abilities to act in dancing.
The opportunities we had were having a part in solo singing, but i didn't do it.
The challenge for me is that we have to sing.

The Island was created when Aoraki's grandson found Aoraki and his crew turned into stones and mourned their deaths. Aoraki's grandson made a rake and raked up all the ruble and started planting trees, putting seafood in the bays and harbours. he then put birds and shrubs on the land
5. What wildlife is presented on the island - native / introduced
Animals like black-backed/karoro, red-billed gull/tarapunga white-flippered penguins/korora terns shags, oystercatcher, fantails/piwakawaka and grey warblers/irorio are on the island.

7. How have introduced species ( animals, birds, insects) damage the environment?
Rats and rabbits ate the most of the eggs
8.What rules does DOC created to help protect Otamahua?
To help protect Otamahua there should be no dogs every where, no littering and don't pick any flowers or any things that was planted on the island.
What is Kaitiakitanga? = Guardianship (guardian to do something)
What is sustainability? - Sustainable
-Keeping things for the next generation

Relationship with Mother Nature? (Kaitiakitanga)
My notes on the video we watched
MOTHER NATURE:
Nature doesn't need people, but people need nature.
MOTHER NATURE:
Nature doesn't need people, but people need nature.
Our future depends on our actions
Our future depends on our nature
OCEAN:
If the ocean is not preserved people will die.
People are poisoning the ocean.
The earth is almost covered by the ocean and the earth was once covered by water and the ocean can cover the earth with water again.
Humans take more than their share.
ICE:
Ice keeps the world cool.
Ice moves slowly.
RAIN FORESTS:
Rain forests leaks air.
Some plants are medicines.
People always come back for the trees - their woods.
Flowers:
Life starts with flowers.
Flowers inspired artists.
Flowers are worshiped for the looks and scent.
Foods starts from flowers.
SOIL:
Without soil humans couldn't exist.
People treat soil like a dirt.
The soil is over used.
The soil is sick because of us humans.
Relationship with Mother Nature:
Is it healthy? I think what we are doing is not healthy because, it is not good to just don't care about our Nature, we are not thinking about our future, we are not thinking about the climate change.
Is it beneficial? What we are doing to our Mother Nature is really bad. But we can get a lot of beneficial thing to the Nature such as wood, food from the trees, fresh air and a many more things.
Are we making wise choices? No, because we might have a lot of things we can get from our nature but, is we keep getting things from our Nature then we might have left with an empty planet with no food, no soil, no flowers, no ice.
We really need mother nature so let's all take care of it because if we don't take care our nature all living thing here on earth including us humans will die.

LO: Describe the changes, challenges, and needs of adolescents with respect to the 4 dimensions of Hauora.
What am I learning?
I am learning about the changes you go through as an adolescence and the 4 dimensions of haoura.
How this work shows my learning?
This work shows my learning because i have put every thing you need to know about becoming an adolescence
What am I wondering?
I am wondering if it's hard to find your beliefs as you grow older.
What would I like to improve in my work?
I would like to put more details in each dimensions of Haoura.

The Importance of Empathy
What is Empathy?
Empathy- The ability to understand someone else's feelings as if they are your own.
I learnt that empathy:
Can you see inside others hearts?
Empathy- The ability to understand someone else's feelings as if they are your own.
I learnt that empathy:
- Is putting your self in someone else's feelings.
- Needs work and practice,it requires each one of us not just to think to our selves.
- Is being there for people who you know struggles.
- Caring for someone else's feelings
Can you see inside others hearts?
- They are smiling because they are successful on their medication.
- Smiling even thou he's tumor is cancerous
- Sad because they're sickness is too worse to be medicate
Empathy is important because if there is no empathy we do not care about what other's feel, we do not feel what others feel, we don't know the importance of each other.

How the Body works
Eyes:
Eyes help us see, but did you know that our eyes have million of little parts in it?
The cornea is a dome of clear tissue that is at the front of the eye that focuses light as the light pass through. The colorful part of our eye is called the iris, the iris is right behind the cornea. The black part at the center of the eye is called the pupil

High Impact Car Race Result
What did we do?
It was a fair test because all the group get to choose the angle we want for the slope and we all have the same car to have a fair test and we get to choose the stuff we put to our car and we have the same time to put modification to our car and we have the same track, our car's fastest time was 1.02 seconds
The first modification is this.I put clay on the front that shaped aerodynamically and i put spoiler at the back to make the forces balanced,I put shark fin near the spoiler so that it makes the car less air resistance to make the car fast.
The second modification is this.I put more clay at the back of the car to make it slower so it can stop on the green line and add more air resistance.
For the third modification we didn't change any thing and I think it will work.
The results of the race:
Our car is the 7th car on the list, our first try on our car passed the green line by the time 1.27,the second time is 1.2 seconds

Our first try on the second didn't get as close to the green line as possible because about .3 meters away from the slope but,the second one is more closer to the green line about .45 meters away from the slope.
We won the third race by 4.97 meters away from the slope.

What we have learning about:
We have been learning about the different forces and we choose the force push and pull
I found out that there are different kinds of forces and one of them is push and pull
What I have learnt is how many forces do we have
How it show my learning it shows my learning because i have insert photos of it.

Physics of Car Racing
What I tried today? I tried to put a spoiler to make the car go faster and to make the car more aerodynamic.
What happened when I tried to race it? when I tried to race it it went really fast but it make the car sway.
What I will try next time? i will try to put balloons to make the car go faster.
What research did do? I do the one on how to make the car become aerodynamic.
1.What has been done to make this a fair test?
it is a fair test because we have the same track and we can have what angle we want.
2.What forces are needed to make the car go faster and now have you modified your car accordingly?
Gravity,acceleration,drag,air resistance and lift
3.What forces are needed to make the car stop and what adjustment have you made to try & stop it by the line? add more air resistance and reduce acceleration,i try to put balloon at the car and it was too fast that makes the car can't control the speed and makes the car lift a little bit.,to make the car stop i will put fluffy thing by the line.
4.What forces are needed to make the car travel further and what adjustments have you made to achieve this? Make the car more aerodynamic and make some of the forces a little bit unbalance.

Cars
What problem does our car already have?
Our car keeps turning sideways once it hits the bottom of the ramp.
-What is causing the problem?
Jeremiah- Because there's less friction and the wheel isn't rubber it's plastic.
Chimera- The back of the car heavier
-What do you plan to correct it?
Jeremiah- Put rubber on the wheel
Chimera- Put some stuff on the car
How do you think you will make your car go faster?
Jeremiah-Aerodynamics
Chimera-
How do you think you will slow your car down?
Jeremiah- Add paper at the back of the car and put fluffy towel
Chimera-
What equipment will we need?
-Paper
-Sticky tape
-Fluffy towel
