Machine Fact File

Have you ever wondered how to use a screwdriver? A screw driver is a machine (tool) used for turning or removing screws. A common screwdriver has a shaft, a tip and a handle. The tip is the part that is inserted into the screw head to turn it.

To use a screwdriver, you have to place the screw at the screwdriver tip and hold both screw and tip together with the fingers of one hand. Apply very little pressure on the screwdriver while turning in a clockwise direction until the screw reaches the wood.
