i predict that if you play tug of war on carpet it would be harder because the carpet is slipery
If you play on the concrete it would be easier because the concrete have more friction than carpet so you would have more grip
I predict that is you play on the grass you would have the balanced friction but not that much as the con concrete
On the lino it will be harder because you will slip and there is least friction
