What solutions can you try when you face a challenge during the Business & Enterprise kete? Give an example.
During the Business & Enterprise kete, I will be able to overcome challenges by using Thought challengers, Strategies, Joint Problem Solving (J.P.S) and DESC.
For example:

Technology ( 3D Printing )

What have I learnt?

In the past few weeks, we have been learning about 3d printing, I have learnt how to produce a print.
When I want my 3d print to be printed I have to send it to our teacher to print it and if it is too big to be printed it is scaled down to make it fit the printer

In my printing, I have used Thingiverse for gathering some ideas on my print, I used Tinkercad to modify my print, I also used an online file converter to convert a file so it can be supported by Tinkercad and modify it.

How does this work show my learning?

Science - Light waves ( Reflection through lenses)

Aim: To investigate how different types of lenses refract light.
Equipment: Triple-slit ray, power supply, a concave lens and a convex lens.
Method:

  1. Set up a ray box, triple-slit ray slide, and power supply.
  2. Place the convex lens in the space below. Place the ray box at the top of the page and shine the three rays of light at the lens. Make sure the central light ray hits the lens at 90-degrees as indicated in the diagram.
  3. Carefully trace the direction of the incoming and refracted rays.
  4. Repeat using the concave lens.

Science - Light energy ( Refraction)

Aim: To investigate how light is affected by changing the substance it is travelling through.

Equipment: Ray box, power source, glass or perspex block, single-slit ray slide.

Method: Collect the equipment from your teacher, and set them up to produce a single beam of light.

  1. Place the glass block in the shaded area below.
  2. Place your ray box at the top of the pages and shine the beam so it travels along the 10-degree line to the centre of the protractor (this is your angle of incidence, i degree)
  3. Read the angle the light leaves the glass block at (this is your angle of reflection r degree)
  4. Continue the investigation so you can complete the table opposite.

Music - What makes a catch jingle

10 Things I think makes a catchy jingle

  1.  Using rhyming words - rhyming words helps people to remember the words easily.
  2.  Understand your product - understanding your product helps you know what you have to sell, its history and its brand evolution.
  3. Use the right words - using the right words as your first step, identify the USP ( Unique Selling Proposition) of the product.
  4. Keep it simple - Keeping it simple makes your jingle catchy and it helps on making it stuck in peoples' head.
  5. Make it simple to sing - making it simple to sing also helps people to remember it easily
  6. Use figures of speech - Use hyperbole and puns to add a fun element. Use repetition to create impact.
  7. Consider competitors - Find the product's competitors, make sure that your jingle doesn't sound similar to theirs.
  8. Incorporate the brand's name - Make a clever use of your brands name, If your brand's name doesn't fit the tune, use words that will remind people of your brand's name.
  9. Your jingle should not be long - Make sure you don't make your jingle too long because it will be boring if it exceeded 30 seconds.
  10. A message that sums up your brand - It should give a general idea of what your brand is about.

I rate their jingle 7 out of 10 because their lyrics are easy to remember and it is short.

I rate their jingle 8 and a half out of 10 because their slogan is easy to remember " Show us your crack"

I rate milo's jingle 6 out of 10, I like how they kept their jingle short but it wasn't catchy enough.

I rate their jingle 8 and a half out of ten because their jingle was long but it was funny and joyful.
