Slave Trade Triangle

What is the Slave Trade Triangle?

LO: Learn how people's freedoms are taken away.


Slave Trade Triangle is a system that was used from the late 16th to early 19th century to trade slaves with something, for example, cotton, sugar, etc.

What is the First Passage?
The First Passage is about Ships and Guns were purchased and taken to Europe. And African slaves were kidnapped.

What is the Middle Passage?
The Middle Passage, guns and materials traded for humans. They were put on slaves ships and sent to America.

What is the Third Passage?
It is about materials like tobacco that slaves picked were sent to Europe and sold.

  1. Hi Jerimiah - You comments on the slave trade triangle and each stage were good. The map needs a little work as you haven't managed yet to actually join the triangle. Maybe look back to the one we did in class so you can see where the lines should go.
