Chromatography
What is chromatography? chromatography is when you use chemicals to extract the pigment.
Aim: Our aim is to extract pigments from the leaf.
Materials: boiling tube, filter paper, flint, boiling tube rack, pipet and pigment
Method:
The result of our experiment went pretty bad, we expected it to rise up and change colours but ours didn't and it just sank at the bottom.

Experiment 2
Aim: Our aim is to recreate the experiment we did by using felt pens that have a lot of pigments in it.
Materials: Test tube, filter paper, sellotape, splint, test tube rack, and felt pens.

Aim: Our aim is to extract pigments from the leaf.
Materials: boiling tube, filter paper, flint, boiling tube rack, pipet and pigment
Method:
- We grind the leaf and add ethanol, then we extracted the pigment from it.
- We cut a piece of filter paper then line it using pencil for about 2 cm.
- We dropped about 2-3 ml of ethanol in the boiling tube then put the filter paper with a drop of pigment to it.
- We then wait for the result.

Method:
- Cut the filter paper into small thin strips.
- Mark a dot about 2-3 cm from the bottom of the paper.

Dilution Series
In Science, we made an experiment, we created dilution series.
Aim: Our aim in this experiment is to make the dark coloured liquid to light.
Materials: We used test tube, test tube rack, potassium permanganate, pipet, and cylinder
Conclusion/Observation: I expect that the colours would change pretty smooth as we take away 1 ml of solute in each test tube and add 9 ml of water. I
Result: The result went pretty good but the colour went from a little bit dark to very light colour.
